PAU d'ARCO (Lapacho & Taheebo)
Tabebuia impetiginosa
Liquid extract of dried inner bark (no adhering wood).

Actions: Depurative (blood & lymph cleanser). Enhances immune system function. Antitumor. Antiviral. Antifungal.

Uses: Immune support in infections, especially, candida and other yeast infections. Pau d’Arco is often used in Latin American folk medicine to treat cancer, and there is scientific research that appears to justify such use. Native Indians of Brazil use Pau d’Arco to treat skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, fungal infections; also for dysentery, fevers, rheumatism, malaria, and ulcers.

Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops, 2 to 4 times per day.

Cautions: Research on Pau d’Arco’s naphthaquinones constituents suggest that this herb may be contraindicated when using anticoagulants.
