ECHINACEA (Super Echinacea)
Echinacea purpurea
Blended liquid extracts of fresh whole root,
fresh leaf & flower (no stem) & dried mature seed. |
Actions: Immune system modulator and
tonic. Anti-inflammatory. Stimulates healthy growth of connective tissue
and speeds healing of damaged tissues. Excellent alterative, and blood
and lymphatic cleanser.
Uses: All conditions where immune system is challenged
or compromised: Inflammations, infections, fevers, colds, flu, allergies,
etc. Weak immune system and susceptibility to infections or slow-healing
wounds. Septicemia (“blood poisoning”). Lymphatic congestion.
Boils and carbuncles. Eczema, psoriasis, hives and other skin problems.
General “run-down” feeling. Arthritis. Venomous stings and
bites.
Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops, 2 to 5 times per day. In
fevers, severe infections, or venomous bites and stings, doses can be
as large as 40 to 80 drops every 1 to 2 hours (depending upon severity).
As fever or symptoms subside, dosage can be lowered in size and frequency.
Topically apply full strength (if well tolerated), or dilute with 1
or 2 parts water.
Cautions: Some caution that taking Echinacea for extended
periods of time causes its therapeutic effects to diminish, and that
Echinacea is contraindicated in autoimmune diseases. However, there
has been no scientific proof or evidence to support these theories,
and Echinacea’s long clinical history demonstrates otherwise.
