Astragalus membranaceus
Liquid extract of dried root.

Actions: Considered nourishing to the vital force (“chi”) in Traditional Chinese Medicine. General immune system tonic; increases production and activity of undifferentiated immune cells, and interferon. Builds blood. Promotes endurance and stamina. Liver protective and restorative.

Uses: As a convalescence tonic in recovery from illness, general debility and weakness. Weak immune system and wasting illness; protective of immune cells during chemo or radiation treatments; prevent or moderate colds and flu. Strengthening lung tonic; soothes coughs. Poor appetite. Anemia. Chronic liver maladies.

Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops, 3 or 4 times per day.

Cautions: Avoid or moderate use with acute inflammation or fever.
