Action: The collective
actions of the herbs in this compound are to promote healthy circulation
to and within the prostate and to drain away congested tissue fluids;
to soothe burning and irritation of the prostate and the urinary tract;
anti-inflammatory; and mildly diuretic.
Uses: Indicated in the treatment of prostate gland
maladies (both acute and chronic):
infections of the
prostate, and
prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate);
difficulty in passing urine and
nocturnal dripping; prostatelcosis
(ulceration of the prostate). Especially indicated in the enlarged prostate
of
benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH). Also an excellent
tonic for general maintenance of a healthy prostate.
Dose:
Chronic or BPH: Two to three
times per day, take 30 to 40 drops in water. Take 6 days per week for
2 to 6 months, depending on results.
Acute: Three to five times per day, take 30 to 40 drops
in water.
Tonic: Two times per day, take 30 to 40 drops in water.
Take 6 days per week for 2 to 4 weeks. Do this 1 or 2 times per year.
Adjunct Therapy:
Red Clover • Stillingia Compound is suggested in chronic conditions
of the prostate where there is congestion and swelling, sluggish lymphatics,
and/or prostatorrhea (catarrhal discharge). Two to three times per day,
take 20 to 40 drops. For best results take drops one-half hour before
or after Healthy Prostate Tonic.
Echinacea Extract is indicated in infection and inflammation of
the prostate. See Echinacea in this book for appropriate dosing.
Cautions: Prostate gland health problems should be
treated under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner.
This is especially important in prostate conditions associated with
pain, fever and abnormal discharge.
